About The artist

Helen  is a full-time resident of Southwest Florida, having moved here in 2018 from Illinois. Helen is enjoying the weather and further exploring the many artistic opportunities. 

Helen retired as a High School IT Director with formal training in Computer Programming, Network Management, Business Management and Educational Technology. Art was a great way to destress from work and has now become her passion. Her artistic techniques are mostly self-taught, but she enjoys developing her skills by learning from other.  Helen often uses her technical background to plan, design, and develop each piece.  

Helen is an active board member of Fort Myers Beach Art Association, president of the Lehigh Acres Art League and an active member of Alliance for the Arts in Fort Myers, Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda, Florida Watercolor Society and American Watercolor Society. 

         Her works can also be found at various Southwest Florida locations, including Keiser University in Fort Myers, Wallace Family Practice in Fort Myers, and various local Art Exhibits.  She also does commissions in Acrylic, Graphite, Oil, or Watercolor.
